CLUB HISTORY
Billericay Town Ladies Football Club was initially formed in 1986 under the name of Basildon Ladies, competing in the Greater London League 3rd Division. Billericay won the Anniversary Cup in their first season.
Billericay were runners up in Division 3 in 1989/90 and gained promotion to Division 2.
The 1996/97 season saw the club change it's name from Basildon Ladies to Billericay Town Ladies FC and achieve promotion to Division 1.
In 1997/98 Billericay had further success winning the Russell Cup, reaching the semi-final of the league cup and gaining promotion to the Premier Division.
The season of 2000/01 saw Billericay move leagues to the Essex County league, division 1 and become League Champions the same year. They also reached the semi-final of the Essex County Cup.
In 2002/03, after a tough season through personal and management changes Billericay finished a respectable 3rd in the league and were Essex County Cup quarter finalists and league cup semi-finalists.
Season 2004/05 saw Billericay reach the final of the Essex League Cup, losing out to Bowers & Pitsea and finished a respectable 4th place in the Essex County League Division 1.
Season 2005/06 saw Billericay gain runners up position in the Essex League Cup and Essex League Division 1. They also achieved their best run in the club’s history by reaching the 2nd round proper of the Ladies WFA.
2006/07 saw Billericay crowned as Essex Champions and gained promotion to The Eastern Region Southern Division.
Billericay 2007/08 started their first season in The Eastern Region South strongly but due to injuries they finished 4th, semi finalists in The Essex County Cup losing to the eventual winners Colchester Utd, quarter finalists in The Isthmian Cup and gained runners up spot in the International Clacton 7 a side tournament.
In 2008/09 Billericay finished runners up to Braintree in the Eastern Southern Division and were beaten by Taverham 1-0 in the league play offs in extra time – goal scored on the 28 minute. Semi Finialists in the Le Senza Cup losing 3-0 to the eventual winners Enfield, who are 2 leagues above in the Ladies League pyramid.
Season 2009/10 see Billericay start a reserve team playing in Essex League Division 3.
