Reserves visit Harwich & Parkston LFC in Division 3 leagueNews story posted: 11 Nov '09 09:56The game started with neither team taking control, and with Billericay's changed lineup it took them time to settle down. Billericay were the first to create the best chance with Katie Bowman putting Eike Mangold through on goal, and after rounding the Harwich goalie only a tremendous last ditch tackle saved a certain goal. Again Billericay pressed the Harwich goal with out creating that clear cut chance, either a save by the Harwich goalie or shooting wide. Then 10 mad minutes at the end of the half saw Billericay fall 2 goals behind, in both cases unable to clear the ball and Hollie Jacob in goal given no chance with the shots.
Half time 0-2
The second half continued in the same vein with Billericay trying to play their football, but finding a hard working Harwich hard to break down. It took a great finish outside the area from the Harwich forward to put the game beyond Billericay, and then a fourth goal in the final minutes finished the game.
Full time 0-4
Despite the result this is probably the best that Billericay have played in a couple of weeks, and deserved more out of the game, Harwich's clinical finishing the difference.
