Reserves take on East Thurrock Utd LFC in first league matchNews story posted: 01 Oct '09 09:22Billericay Town LFC Reserves visited East Thurrock Utd LFC for our first league game of the season, with a depleted squad due to first team call ups and late withdrawals.
From the kick off it was easy to see that Thurrock were going to be a tough opponent. From the first few minutes Billericay were put under alot of pressure and it wasn't long before Thurrock took the lead. With Billericay unable to get into the game Thurrock were able to apply constant pressure with the goals coming thick and fast.
Half time 0-7
At half time Billericay made a formation change to stem the flow of attacks. A much improved performance from Billericay rationed Thurrock to one goal in the second half and also creating our own chances at the other end with Liz Hendle coming close with a great strike.
Full time 0-8
A hard game for Billericay against a very good Thurrock team.
